62 So it was, a few days later, a caravan moved south, crossed the desert, avoided the enemy, and came down to Fr, where Bay Blossom Hawk had made her headquarters in a large estate outside a village.
63 The first day was spent in getting acquainted. Bay Blossom Hawk didn't seem to resent Thundering Dove being put in charge at all. As a matter of fact, she insisted he be quartered in the house where she was staying, and at the banquet that evening she was more than friendly.
64 When Thundering Dove announced he was tired, she, too, left the banquet and escorted him to the house. It was a Frn mansion; gaudy, but well built and easily protected.
65 Bay Blossom showed Thundering Dove his room. "Mine is right next door," she announced, "as a matter of fact, there is a door between them, so if you wish to speak with me, you do not have to enter the hall. Let us get out of this battle gear. I do not know about you, but I could stand a wash. You'll find a basin and water in the room.
66 After we have changed, would you mind if I come in for a bit of conversation and one more drink? I have some sweet wine that is really enjoyable."
67 "I would be pleased," Thundering Dove agreed. He entered his room, washed, donned a sleeping gown and a robe. Barely had he finished, than there came a knock on the adjoining door. "You may come in,” he announced.
68 When Bay Blossom entered, he was taken back. She wore only a sleeping gown that in no way concealed her womanhood. Her battle armor hid her exceptional beauty. Dressed like this, it was hard for him to consider she was one of the greatest fighters among his people.
69 She sat down the tray, filled two goblets, and offered one to Thundering Dove. "To a successful campaign,"
