have worn it all these years!"
13 The woman laughed. "You were a naughty child to walk about naked!"
14 "I wasn't naked," insisted Brown Goat, "I was very properly covered
….with MUD!"
15 Both he and the woman laughed joyously. Then Brown Goat looked
weary. "I am extremely tired," be remarked, "I think I will just lay
here and rest, if you will come back in an hour or so and waken me."
16 "Of course, Lord," agreed the woman. "Have a nice nap."
17 She went out, and sometime later, when she came back to waken Brown
Goat, he was with The Lords.
18 When the people heard they were greatly saddened, for they knew a
great man had left them. Thundering Dove was asked to run for the
Speakership and at first he declined. But the peoples'
insistence was great, and he finally agreed, and with a good majority
came to The First Speaker's House.
19 And he held office for ten and six seasons then became tired and
asked for a new election.
20 His son, Soaring Dove, became First Speaker, the time of that
generation passed. The people of Spirit began to grow careless, began
to fall away from The Lords; not greatly, but only in little things did
they fail Them. But the little things began to multiply, and The Lords
looked not happily on Their People.
