The First Speaker shivered. "Tell me," he asked, "are there three men standing by that wall over there?"
"No, my lord," the guard answered, "there is no one....no wait! Someone comes! Two men carrying another man in a Warlock's cloak! The Warlock appears to be injured."
The First Speaker turned slowly, his eyes widening as he looked. The two fighting people leaned their companion against the wall, and one of them said "Stay here, I'll get you some water."
"And see if you can find me a Damon's cloak. It is not proper that I am in Warlock's garb," his companion complained. 31 "He had no further use for it," the other man answered, "yours was in rags, and there is no man more deserving of a Warlock's cloak! None of us would be alive today, but for the way you led us!"
The First Speaker called out "You! In the Warlock's cloak! Come here!"
When the men by the wall saw who spoke, they quickly came forward. "Kneel down here," ordered The First Speaker. 34 "Pardon, my Lord," said one of the men, "but his leg...."
"Lay him down, then; here, by me," ordered The First Speaker. "Then help him sit. The rest of you gather every Warlock you can find. We need witnesses. What is your name, young man?" The First Speaker asked.
"Sir," the young man answered, "when I was but a small boy, a Stranger entered heavily on his staff. Before our house, an Old Man who leaned my parents and all who were gathered there, he touched his 'Behold, The Dove, who staff on both my shoulders and said, shall lead his people with great wonders.' 37 "I think I've met that is all anyone will call me....The that Old Man!" The Speaker said. "Tell me, why are you not have never claimed one," worthy of a Warlock's cloak?"
"I the young man answered. "There were many worthy men from Power, and have dreamed my district. Though I have The some dreams, I did not consider myself worthy to take another Deer and several of the other man's place."
