a Light as had never been seen. Those outside
the yard of the house said it was many times brighter than the noonday
sun, but it was pure white, and even protected by the house's good
fence, they had to look away!
41 The screams of those men in the yard that looked upon it were beyond
description, and when it was gone, Gray Goat told the others they could
look, what they saw amazed them! His sandals were gone, only burned
charcoal remained beneath his feet. His clothes smoldered and smelled
burned, but they were still whole. For many minutes he was of such a
warmth that it was uncomfortable to be near him.
42 On the ground before them laid those that would have been their
captors. They held their hands to their eyes and wept. They were all
blind, and their wits were also gone. All they did was time after
time, repeat the lists of their crimes over and over again, and beg for
mercy. Within weeks they all withered and died. It was said after that,
that an evil man cannot look on The Light of The Lords and live.
43 Of course those that were against Gray Goat told another story. They
claimed his followers had seized those that came to arrest them, and
put out their eyes with hot irons. But all who heard this knew it was a
lie, there were too many witnesses to the truth.
44 The First Speaker had these men examined, and was told, without
question, that no such thing had happened to them. Whatever HAD
happened, was beyond their powers to explain.
45 Still, in all, The First Speaker had to call Gray Goat to explain.
Though he was hesitant to deal with this powerful young Speaker who
struck his enemies blind, and made them confess their crimes over and
