turn to cruelty and injustice. They would always
deal with their prisoners in a just and honorable manner.
64 The Oneness rebuilt the walls of Faith, moving them far from the
water. Fighting with The Children of Spirit had taught them bitter lessons. They built two new
cities along their coast. One they called Justice, the other they
called Resistance. They built a new road up the coast, making it easier to reach
their capitol.
65 Some suggested moving the capitol to one of the cities further
inland, but The Priest of Priests would not hear of it. "The One True
God," he said, "touched this place in the days of old, and gave unto it glory. Men cannot deny their glory, or change it at
their whim. This is the holiest of His Places. It will stay such for
all eternity. Let no man think it will not."
66 Some disagreed, but he was The Priest of Priest, and was obeyed.
"Someday," promised The Priest of Priests, we will have greater wisdom
than The Children of Spirit. Someday our great God will give us the
wisdom to destroy them, and all that we have lost will be regained. For
now, we gather our strength, and prepare for His days of glory."
67 So it was, peace came, and for many, many generations The Oneness
bothered no one.
