or have our practices accepted by the entire
Church and available in any Temple"
71 "Not as long as I live!" snapped The Hawk. "I want to see your
financial records."
72 "Our financial records, sir, are private! We do not show them to
every person that walks through the door!"
73 "That is strange," answered The Hawk. "According to The Law you must
post each month's donations and state what uses they were put to. Where

74 "We believe, sir," explained The Speaker, "That a Church's financial
records are private. They may be examined by reputable authorities but
not every person off the street. We are sure this was not what was
meant by The Law of Disclosure."
75 "Very well," snapped The Hawk. "I bid you good day."
76 An hour later The Hawk was in The City Speaker's office. The City
Speaker was signing orders that The Temple of Atonement cease
operations at once, that they surrender their financial records
immediately and appear before him two days hence on charges of heresy.
The Hawk, with The City Speaker's Agents, delivered the orders
personally.
76 Two days later The Hawk stood before The City Speaker with several
companions. Shining Boar and many of his followers were also
present. "Hawk," announced The City Speaker, "as you are the accuser,
you shall speak first."
77 "What I have to say is simple," The Hawk answered. "What this man
teaches is heresy, and outside The Law, There is no question of it.
78 There is nothing in any of The Old Fox's Writings that suggests such
things, and much that denies it. I would like to hear what this man has
to say in his defense, before I pro-
