42 The men picked up their weapons and hurried out.Great Mountain returned to Swift Deer. "Well," he announced, "you've got your army! Those who opposed you just chose to eliminate themselves! You go to sleep over here, on her bed.  You're going to be my guest in here from now on.We'll start following your orders pretty soon, but for the next few days you follow mine, Warlock!"
43 Swift Deer recovered slowly, but he put his plan into action almost immediately. "Every caravan," he ordered, "going down.that road, and coming up from Muk must be stopped! Nothing, absolutely nothing, must go down that desert passage and reach the Land of Spirit. We must make a base camp at the edge of the foothills.
44 Your hideaway is too far away. We must load all your treasure into your ox carts and bring it up to the base camp. The only ones to remain here at your fortress are to be those too old or too young to fight."
45 "We've got to leave a few people," argued Great Mountain, "to protect our homes, or we've got to take everybody with us. It's too dangerous to leave them out here."
46 "Very well," agreed Swift Deer, "everybody goes.”
47 So it was the entire Bandit Community closed their dwellings, their entrances, and marched out. From a hidden camp near the junction of the desert passages, they began to seize every caravan moving in any direction. Soon, their camp was full of ox carts and prisoners.
48 There were very few soldiers. Almost all the prisoners were slaves, forced to tend the caravans.When Swift Deer offered them a chance to turn on their masters, gain their freedom, and receive a share of all
