reached the top when he heard the enemy shouting "My God, my God! The enemy's on the wall! The enemy's on the wall! God help us!"
33 They fought their way down to the nearest gate, and swung it open, and their people poured into the city. Again it was no easy battle,
and again they captured only an empty city. But capture it they did.
34 The enemy commander threw down his sword. "How, in the name of our God," he screamed, "did you get on the walls?"
35 "Easy," admitted The Hawk, "we climbed up!"
36 "All right," groaned the enemy commander, "keep your secrets. We'll find out some day!"
37 The Hawk's people laughed. "Even when you tell some people the truth, they won't believe you."
38 Now, The Hawk gathered his people. They had captured some Mus boats, but he wanted many more.  He sent his men to raid far and wide in the swamps. They didn't take villages and hold them, they just raided, seizing the enemy's food and provisions, leaving people where they were.
39 The Muan women stood in disbelief as their houses were searched for food and weapons, yet no man touched them, or, their daughters. Sometimes in amusement as they left, the raiders would kiss a pretty girl on the cheek and depart. They often would receive a smile in return.
40 Only once was there dishonor. Some Frns slipped away from their Warlock and forced themselves on a young woman. When The Hawk found out, he ordered the men returned to the same village, and that the Surgeon punish them before the villagers. It was a lesson his people did not forget. There was no further mischief of that kind.
