the attackers found themselves the attacked! Dozens were killed, only a couple captured, only one or two managed to escape. One of those captured was the only son of The Speaker of Poison.
At his trial, he admitted no guilt, but screamed that He was the one being wronged. "I am protecting our race," he cried "from those who would destroy it. You who deny the truth have no right to accuse and punish those who are superior. You do not understand the destiny of your own people. I have done nothing wrong. It is you who are evil."
The Judges found him guilty of both heresy and attempted murder. He was sentenced to death.  The Speaker of Poison came to The Hawk and begged mercy. "Did those your son and his friends beat in the street ask for mercy?" inquired The Hawk. "No mercy can be given to your kind, only swift and sure justice, to end your own suffering and greed. I will not even hear the case. Let justice be done!"
"It is not justice!" screamed The Speaker of Poison, "It is vengeance, and tyranny because we have a different idea than you. You persecute us. There will be TRUE justice, those who defile our race will be punished."
He left in an angry rage. In his own city he stood in its square and watched the ax fall three times, for his son and his companions.
The Next Worship Day The Hawk was going to Temple when suddenly dozens of hooded men rushed at him from side streets. There was a vicious battle as he, his family, and guards beat off the attackers. The Hawk, The Lady Hawk, and Little Newt were all wounded. The attackers who weren't killed escaped.
The Hawk started an investigation, but the people had no question who was responsible.
