THE BOOK OF THE ONENESS
Chapter One
Now, after the Time of The Hawk, in The 635th Year From The Beginning,
a sickness of the mind overcame the people of The One.
2 For many seasons they had had a legend that a great hero would be
born of a virgin, a woman who had known no man.
3 That this child would be the son of The One True God, would lead
their people to great glory, and establish forever the power of their
god.
4 Now, in that season, in the city of Tir, a young maiden came to her
parents one morning and said,
5 "In the evening in my chamber, The Lord of All Heavens, The Ruler of
All Things, came upon me, and I am filled with child. "
6 "Be silent, daughter! " warned her parents. "Do not say such things! If you have sinned and known a man, it can be
forgiven. But if you speak heresy, they will burn you!"
7 "I speak no heresy," the girl insisted. "The Father of All Lands was
with me. He has put his glory in my body, yet I am untouched, I am
still a maiden. For he has not known me as a man knows a woman, yet I
am fulfilled. "
8 Her parents were still fearful that she lied, and cautioned her to
say nothing, but at the next Worship Day she stood in the womans' court
and proclaimed that she was The Chosen Daughter, that their God's glory
was within her. The Priests seized her, and brought her before The
Council.
9 "For such lies, girl, you shall be burned," ordered The Priest, "take her away."
