68 A man on the boat answered , "Good sir, we have no fish to sell you."
69 "Turn your boat to the left," cried The Teacher, "and throw out your
net."
70 "Lord ," argued the man, "here in the river by the docks there are
never any fish!"
71 "If you want fish," insisted The Teacher, "throw your net where I
say!"
72 Reluctantly the Fishermen turned their craft and put their nets in
the water. With a sudden jerk the nets made for the bottom, for they
were full of fish!
73 "Help us!" the fishermen cried to the other boats, "or surely we
will be drawn under! " Others came to their aide. And in a
short while
the nets were on the dock, and that that they contained being spread
out.
74 "Never," cried The Fisherman, "never have I had such a catch! Surely
you are a Holy Man!" He knelt down to worship.
75 "Give your boat unto your brothers," commanded The Teacher. "Come,
and follow me. I will teach you how to fish for men! " And The
Fisherman took his robe and followed after.
76 They rode the barges as far north as they would go, then put their
feet to sand. Through all their journey the sky hung dark
around them. Dust flew ominously, but no great storms rose, and they
came safely out of the desert into The Land of Spirit.
77 At The Southern City they stopped to rest. No great crowds greeted
them, but there was a temple of The One, and The Teacher stopped there
