16 "I hope so!" sighed Thundering Boar, "because
if they do not it will lead to problems that may tear our world
apart!"
17 A few months later, Thundering Boar announced the new birth
controls. There was some bitterness, but the majority of the people,
when the situation was explained, understood the problem they were
facing, and accepted that this was a reasonable solution.
18 There were always troublemakers who tried one way or another, to get
around The Law, and have as many children as they liked, but these were
quietly, and, effectively dealt with.
19 There were some, though, that fought the birth regulations viciously
and other restrictions that had been put on them. For five seasons
after their scattering The Oneness started to cause trouble. They came
up with a new kind of warfare they called Terror Fighting. They began
to bomb buildings, planes, trains, ships.
20 It was almost impossible to find who was responsible and bring them
to justice. They hid among their own people or even pretended to be
worshipers of Spirit.
21 They sat off a bomb in one school yard and killed ten children. In
the madness of their grief, the people of that village dragged the men,
women, and children of The Oneness from their houses and beat them to
death in the street. Thundering Boar, though understanding their
grief, could not tolerate such an act.
22 He ordered all those responsible, brought to trial and each one, man
or woman, was executed. But he knew in some way, he would have to
strike back, or there would be more incidences like that one.
23 One day a plane taking off from Northern exploded and ninety-five
people on it were killed. A phone call proudly announced that The Free
Forces of The Oneness had been responsible.
