Chapter Four
For thirty and four seasons he was Speaker of The Lords, and then went
to be with Them. There were good Speakers after him, but then the
falling away he predicted began, and the world was filled with
darkness. That old evil, The Hoods, rose up again. The Lovers of Men
and The Lovers of Women became bold. The users of drugs openly preached
their sickness in the streets, many Worshipers of Spirit turned to The
Oneness, or, gave up any faith at all. Those who remained loyal
continued to do that which was right, and prayed for The Blessed Child
Thundering Boar had predicted.
2 The rockets that had been such a terror in war, served a new purpose
in peace. They lifted artificial satellites into the sky, and after
several generations there were cities with people in them floating
above the clouds.
