64 It did not take long to open passages through the tunnels and as soon as they did, news was brought that put Trusting Fox into a state of total dismay. The Oneness was attacking everywhere.  In Mu, Lh and Nos had already fallen, their defenders simply overwhelmed by the enemy's repeating rifles and heavy cannon. Now, The Oneness was marching on Mk.
65 In Tr, the enemy had swept around Misery, because its defenders were putting up such a fight that they couldn't take the city. Fo, too, they besieged, their ships were on the water blasting anything else that sailed out of the water. They had landed on both islands, but were meeting fierce resistance.
66 In the lands below Zo, Sit, Sna and Fin had already fallen, but their people had retreated and were putting up a still strong resistance, though The Oneness was pushing them back day after day.
67 They sent thanks for Bold Fox's warning. It had given them time to evacuate their villages and leave the enemy only scorched earth.
68 "This is terrible!" The First Speaker wept, "Terrible! The Priest of Priests has deceived me. He promised me peace. I am betrayed. As soon as fall comes, we must send aid to our friends in the south, work on the railroads will stop. You have whatever funds you want for the army."
69 "The only problem" snapped Bold Fox, "is they won't do us any good. We can't make enough new cannon or rifles to do any good. The Lords know we'll
