68 His warning barely came in time. As the blast
went off, and the rubble flew into the building, there was a great
SWOOSH as the water and refuse carried what was left of the barrier
away. The enemy on the far side was taken by surprise. Many of them had
been sleeping in the empty tanks. Now the water and refuse poured over
them. Many of them never made it out alive. Those who didn't survive
the blast found The Children of Spirit suddenly among them.
69 Rifle butts swinging, bayonets flashing, they cut the enemy down on
all sides, saving their ammunition, when they could, clearing the
building. They seized up the enemy's weapons, rushed outside, and
formed lines of defense blocking the road in both directions, and the
field towards the city.
70 As the rest of his people poured through the tunnel, Leaping Deer
saw several dead War Leaders lying around a table in one of the
offices. An open document pouch was laying on the table, and its
contents spread out.
71 Not being able to see what they were, he simply stuffed the papers
