58 The Litoans weren't quite as ready to surrender, but after they had
had a taste of the rolling guns, they, too, gave up. And they, too,
asked to be absorbed. "Make us your people," they said. "We tear down

59 So it was, that the lands of Epon and Lite became part of Spirit.
Some of their people were scattered among Spirit's cities, the rest
took up worshiping The Lords in their own land. From that day forth
they were loyal to them.
60 Now, as fall again came, Bold Fox was ready to march south. "Let the

go. As he was massing his troops in Western, emissaries appeared from

announced, "If we continue fighting both sides will only lose. For what
little we have gained, we have paid a terrible price. We will profit
