"Would you come and live at Great Bear's house?" continued The Voice, "and train to do The Lords Service?  You have Their Power and would bring Them great glory.  This young woman with me is coming, also. She could be your friend."
The girl looked shocked.  "Me?" she gasped, "Train with YOU; be part of your Circle?  It is a dream, Lord, beyond belief. Surely you jest with me!  I am not worthy to be a Speaker."
"You are more worthy," argued The Voice, "than many who have lived. I ask you again, will you be my student?"
"Please wait, Lord," she pleaded, "just a few moments."
The Voice sat down on the steps and Yellow Thorn Blossom joined him. "I love the way she talks!"  the girl commented.  "I think I'll like her."
"I'm sure you will!" agreed The Voice.
After a few minutes the girl emerged, a man and a woman at her side. "Lord," asked the man, "does our daughter tell us true?  You wish to take her away to make her a Speaker?  Never in the history of The Blue Serpent Clan have we ever had a Speaker!"
"If you will let her go with me," assured The Voice, "you will have one now!"
Both parents hugged their child.  "Long have we dreaded this day," they said, "we knew someday she would leave our door. We had no idea it would be in this manner!  But if The Lords have called her, she must go, and bring honor to her clan. Many have dreamed, but only a few can do.  Go get your things, child!  Your days in our house are finished. Now the world is yours!  Our Shining Blossom goes out to stand for The Lords!"
As the girl went off, her father turned to The Voice. "We are well-to-do," he explained, "we have some money sat aside for her education.  We will give her an allowance each week, and pay her room and board.  Teach her well, Lord."
"I will begin," promised The Voice, "Great Bear will finish, but our people will bless her, and those who hate The Lords will curse her."
And the words of The Voice proved true. Shining Blossom Serpent became one of her people's most famous Speakers. Not only was she a great Speaker, but she was a great writer, and her writings exposing the falsity of The One were so good, that for many, many generations they turned worshipers of The One away from that god whenever they read them.
Her ability to teach The Lords Truths reached far beyond her time.  But now she was only a laughing, happy child that brought sunshine and joy into Great Bear's house.  No matter how sad anyone was, her smiling face and gentle touch lifted their Spirits, and brought them hope.
They would all soon need their Spirits lifted, and, their hopes renewed.  For when Sweet Blossom and Strong Dog returned to the city, Knowing Fox was not with them. He was with The Lords.
