that displeases you. If I have done anything that offends you, Oh
Precious Ones, make it known to me, that I make it right, that I may be
always joyous in Your Favor, happy in Your Light.'
27 In the morning we don our best clothes, have a meal that does not
have to be cooked, for no one may work on this day. All food must be
prepared the day before and not even the dishes may be washed, until the sun rises again the next day.
28 We visit our Family Tomb, placing flowers before the door, and we
invite Those Who Have Gone Before to return home with us for the
mid-day and the evening meal. An extra chair is set at the table, an
extra set of plates, glasses and silverware sat before it. A symbol of
The Lords stitched in fine black linen is laid over the chair.
29 No food is really put in the dishes, but the gesture is always made
as if you are doing so. And you always speak as if The Lords are really
there, inviting Them to share the meal or be entertained or whatever it
is you do for the rest of the day and evening.
30 It is tradition that after the evening meal, you gather in the
common room for prayer and that each member of the family takes turns
reading their favorite Passage from The Sacred Writings. Then, just
before you prepare for bed, you express your gratitude to The Lords for being with you,
escort Them to the door, open it, and each formally bids Them good-bye."
31 "You are very close to your Lords, aren't you?" Bullet remarked. "It
is almost as if They actually do still live with you, and share your
houses; that They still live!"
32 "To us,” said Smiling Fox, "They DO live! None of Them can ever die.
