91 As his host was wearing a shirt and shorts, Bullet saw no reason not to comply. He took off the robes, his host
pressed a button, and another beautiful woman appeared. He nodded
towards Bullet. She took the robes and departed.
92 For several seconds Bright Serpent stared at them in silence, then
he turned towards Bullet. "Why did you join The Young Speaker?" he
asked.
93 "Because I'm scared to death of him," admitted Bullet, "and the
Power he represents. I figure it's better to be on the right side of a
Power like that, than the wrong side. After I got to know him, I kind
of liked him, and what he stands for!"
94 "What if he dies?" asked Bright Serpent. "Will you still be afraid
of him then?"
95 "You better believe it!" continued Bullet. "HIS kind of Power can
never die. It just gets stronger."
96 "If you'd have given me any other answers," the man admitted, "I'd have told you to take your things and go. But
you spoke the truth, and that I respect. We'll eat, then I want you to tell me everything that's happened to you
since you met The Young Speaker, and I want you to leave nothing out!"
97 He pressed the button on his chair. A third woman entered, pushing a
cart, the previous two following her. They sat up trays before the
master of their house and his guests, sat out the food and departed.
"Eat!" insisted Bright Serpent. "Ox steaks, baked Tabr, peas, honey
cake and plenty of milk."
98 The meal was delicious. When they were done, the ladies returned,
took the trays and the cart away, then a few minutes later, returned, as the men were finishing their
beverage. They seated themselves in chairs about the room. One of them
kept staring at Bullet and it made him nervous.
99 Bright Serpent motioned her over to whisper in
