132 "Almost every generation," agreed Bullet, "some of them join your Faith, or the faith of The One where women are also treated equally. But it is very hard for them, because if they do so, their parents are banished from the faith as well as them. For it is felt that if a child rebels, it is because the parents fail to properly teach them. Many wait until their parent's death to leave their husbands, and join another faith."
133 "I'm glad I belong to The Lords," praised the Maid, "and can choose what I want to do."
134 The other women nodded in agreement. "I think it's time," suggested Bright Serpent, "to tell you about myself. As the ladies have heard the tale a hundred times, I'll send them to their duties. Also, I think I'll send to the hotel for your things. I'd like you to be my guests for the next few days."
135 "We'd be honored!" agreed Bullet. Smiling Fox called the hotel and told them someone would be coming for their things, and pay their bill. He started to take out his wallet, but Bright Serpent shook his head.
136 "I'll take care of it," he said, "it's on me. I will need a note though, for my men giving them permission for your things."
137 Smiling Fox wrote out the note. Two guards came in, took it, and departed.
138 "I will begin by saying that I was raised by my uncle and my mother. My father was killed in a car accident when I was small. When I was young it was obvious I had The Lords Powers, and I loved Their Work. When I entered high school it was decided I would take courses that would lead me toward a Speakership.
