Chapter Thirteen
Now, shortly after Bullet had begun his Healing Work, an Aide rushed
into his office at The Black Watch's headquarters. "They've got a bomb!
" he cried, "they've got an A bomb!"
2 Bullet looked up. "WHO'S got an A bomb?" he asked.
3 "Some Lovers of Men in Western. They've stolen an A bomb from the
arsenal, and have taken it to the city. They threaten to blow it up,
and kill everybody in it unless we meet their demands."
4 "Get me a plane," ordered Bullet. "I've got to get down there right
away! What are they demanding?"
5 "They're demanding the release of all their brothers and sisters from
the hospitals, and that local boys be turned over to them so they can
teach them the joys of their kind of love. They've even given a list of
boys and young men they want! They say if we don't comply, within two
days they'll detonate the bomb, and it sounds like they're crazy enough
to do it!"
6 "With demands like that," growled Bullet, "they HAVE to be! Who's in
charge down there?"
7 "A City Warlock named Red Crow," explained the Aide.
8 As Bullet flew to Western he got constant updates. Not only
did they have a bomb in Western, but they had a second one at the
arsenal, and threatened to detonate that one, also, if anyone came
near. "Well, that one we won't worry about!" remarked Bullet. "All they
could hurt out there would be a few lizards, and snakes and spiders.
It's the one in the city WE have to worry about."
9 As he landed at the airport he saw no planes coming in, but many
lined up to take off. Anything that would fly was going out. The
airport was filled with women and children. A Warlock met him as he
left the terminal. "I'm Red Crow," he announced.
10 "Evacuating?" inquired Bullet.
