49 He put The Book back in its place, returned to his mother, and went
to sleep. The Speaker rose. "It has been an interesting service!" he
announced, "One I do not think we will soon forget!"
50 As Gray Fox and Thorn Blossom were leaving, they saw the young man
who had spoken talking to a very pretty young girl. The girl suddenly
laughed, said "Of course I will!" and threw her arms around him.
51 As they passed, she reached out, took Little Gray Fox's hand, and
winked. He winked back and everybody laughed. When they got home and
put him to bed, Gray Fox looked at his son. "We have been extremely
blessed," he praised. "I wonder why, but I will not question!
