37 "How did you know my name?" the older boy asked.
38 "The one who walked upon the rocks told me," The Young Speaker
replied. The older boy backed off , shaking his head, then ran for the
school entrance. The Young Speaker's friend laughed. "That's the last
we'll see of him!" he commented.
39 "I will see more of him," laughed The Young Speaker, "than any other
man in my lifetime. No greater Servant will I have. When his time
comes, he will serve The Lords with great distinction!"
40 The morning classes were quiet, the other students watching their
new classmate curiously. At lunch The Young Speaker got his meal and
sat down with his friend. Two of The Hawks were coming by his table.
41 A not so pretty, somewhat plump girl was walking behind them. The
two gang members suddenly stopped and stepped backwards. The girl ran
into them, and fell down, her tray and its contents going flying.
"Awww, somebody fall down!" giggled one of The Hawks, and they both
laughed. When they turned around and found The Young Speaker standing
in front of them, their laughter died.
42 "You," he snapped to the shorter boy, "help her up! You, give her
your tray, clean up that mess, and go get another one!"
43 The two boys looked at him for a moment then said, "Yes, sir," and
followed his instructions. The girl looked bewildered but pleased.
44 As the shorter boy went to pass him, The Young Speaker put his hand
on his shoulder. "Why don't you keep her company," he suggested, "and
make sure she doesn't fall down any more?"
