82 "I don't suppose anybody around here's got a
smoke?" Bullet asked. The others shook their heads. "I suppose that's
one habit I'll have to quit," he continued. The others laughed. "What
DO you guys do for excitement?" he questioned.
83 "There's a Church dance tonight," one of them announced, "that's why
we're still around. Some out of town supporters are coming in to see
him; big money people. He's staying over to meet with them."
84 "I didn't think he worried much about money," Bullet wondered.
85 "Personally," one of the men answered, "he doesn't. But we have
youth groups in every city, adult meetings every night. We have to rent
rooms, support workers. There's nothing in this world that's free, it
all costs money and many of these people that are coming have something
else we need ...free time. Most of them don't have to work for a
living. They have time to work with young people, old people, fill many
positions we need, maybe even run for public office! What amazes us, is
that he always seems to know what person will do best in what position.
