We know the price that we have to pay when we have friends and Loved Ones, that someday we will be separated from them and there will be pain in that separation. But that will not keep us from making friends, or, having lovers. For we will be willing to pay the price. For we know that in time, we will be reunited with Them. We will send Their ashes home to many different places, and They will be laid to rest with friends and Loved Ones that will miss Them there. But that will not keep them from sending more to stand beside us, and do battle when battle must be done! Because they know that that is the way things must be. They will praise the lost, and, the living, so let us do that now. Let us praise the lost and the living that shall replace Them. So must it be!"
"So must it be!" all the warriors commented.
"Richard!" the Warlock snapped, "You wanna take the second reading?"
"Yes!" the warrior answered. "I've got something I don't know if many of you have heard, but they found another dead world. It had once had a vast civilization but there were only ruins and decaying corpses. They found a message written on the wall of a deep chamber where the last survivors must've held out for some time. They were able to translate it. It said "If anybody finds this and reads it understand this. That we were once a great people. We had plenty, more than anyone could ever need. We simply had to share with one another, but there were some among us that wanted more than their fair share. They wanted what their friends and neighbors had as well as what they possessed, and they tried to take by force, that that belonged to others. And in the trying they destroyed all. Look about you. This is what greed does, this is what selfishness leaves. All is now gone! The last of us are dying. There's no one left. As far as I know I'm the last individual alive on my world! And I won't be much longer. We wanted everything, we wanted to own the world. Now we do Now we do." There was a body in the corner where this had been written, sitting facing the writing. An empty, lifeless, world." The warrior shivered, folded what he was reading from, and put it back in his pack.
"Good reading!" the Warlock remarked. "Well, I guess we'll end the service with 'Hey, Lords! Ho, Lords!'"
HEY, LORDS, HO LORDS!
1. Now in ancient days when we were cold,
you drove the evil from our Souls!
Great is the power of The Lords
(Repeat Chorus)
2. No evil can escape Your sight,
though sometimes it seems they might!
Greater is the power of The Lords!
(Repeat Chorus)
