Back on the space station orbiting New Mozambique, Speaker Panguene read the reports of all these happenings with considerable interest!
"I don't particularly like these attackers," he remarked to his secretary, 'but they have definitely improved our relationship with The Pulp.  See to it that military operations picks the finest members of The Air, Land & Sea for The Imperial Guard."
     "Yes, sir!" the secretary answered.
"Have you read the other reports, sir, about the attackers, how they become their ships, just merge together, change shape, and become vessels?  Watching the recordings is incredible!  Damaged ships just join with other ones and they become a bigger ship!  They're very hard to fight!"
"Yes," The Speaker agreed, "but we've found that once resistance stops they virtually ignore people.  They don't harm women and children, they simply search an area, find every bit of radioactive material that they can find, and withdraw.  They have been known to absorb dead bodies, but they seem to do this to get genetic patterns.  What they seem to be after is anything radioactive, and I think what this Warlock Polley said in his report could quite possibly be true.  Why communications stop is they absorb our communications beams, literally eat them!  Fortunately, the energy from our weapons is too intense for them!
What disturbs me more is they did not flee into the galaxy, but fled out of it, into open space, passing through the galaxy's corona like it wasn't even there!  And we have to punch a hole through it before we can go outside of it!  Some people are theorizing there's a dark planet out there somewhere, beyond the reach of our instruments to detect, that's orbiting the galaxy.  But apparently we have a new enemy, and they show no signs of even wanting to communicate, except when they absolutely have to.  Apparently they feel they can take whatever they want by brute force.  They're going to learn that's not a very smart thing to do, with us!"
"Yes, sir!"  the secretary answered.  "Anything else, sir?"
"No, not right now!"  the Speaker answered.  "Go send these dispatches and we'll see what the future brings."
"Yes, sir!" the secretary answered, and quickly departed.
