"Oh, my God!" she cried, "This can't be where I think it is!"
An older man carrying a staff came
through a curtain.
"Maccabe!" he cried, "Come forward! The King will see you
now!"
The Ancient One shook his head. "It is
indeed where you think it is,"
he sighed, "it most certainly is!"
They followed the man through the
curtain and entered into a lavish
courtroom. The man on the throne was majestic. "Come
forward, old friend!" he cried.
The Ancient One saw The Ax Man in battle armor
standing nearby.
"Jacob has brought us word on The
Hittite's movements," the man on the
throne announced. "I want you to take your forces and intercept
them. He will accompany you so you may find them readily."
"As you wish, oh King Of Israel!"
The Ancient One answered.
The King stared longingly at Durga, who
was showing her great anger at
the situation. They quickly left the courtroom.
"You can't!" Durga snapped, "You
can't!"
"I have to!" The Ancient One answered.
"I cannot change history.
Just as before I have to go and die. Everything must be fulfilled
as it was."
"Dammit!" Durga cursed.
"Damn it, indeed!" The Ancient One
answered, 'Damn it, indeed!"
