WORLD- Called Fin Cash (First Child).
LENGTH OF ORBIT- 231 days.
GEOGRAPHY- Volcanic. Atmosphere dense and hot. Almost liquid at the surface. Acidic. Surface temperatures would melt lead.
SOLAR SYSTEM- Ten planets. Fin Cash closest to the sun. One other Earth-size planet further out, but world of frozen ice. The rest of the system is made up of gaseous giants, all of whom have several good-sized moons.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION- Males
a crystal about 3 1/2 to 4 ft.tall having five surfaces that come to a
point top and bottom. Two crystal arms extend from the top, and are used
to handle tools, etc.. No feet. When they travel about the arms are flattened
to the body and they seem to move by altering the temperature on one side
of their body or the other, or using magnetic attraction.
Females; five to six feet in height.
Six-sided. Arms smaller than males in proportion to their bodies. Crystalline
reproduction is unusual in that it takes six males to one female. A life
pod, as they call it, forms on each of the males and six form on the females.
In a beautiful rhythmic dance the males dance around the female rubbing
their life pods to hers, until the edges melt, and they stick together.
The female and males stay bonded for several hours and then the males separate,
leaving their half of the new life pod attached to the female. The inner
skins melt and the material from both pods join together, making a new
Crystalline.
The female carries the new children
for three years then they are slowly detached and new life pods grow on
her. And after five years she is ready to mate again.
Sadly Crystalline females die after
their third mating. Few of them live to be much over thirty-five years
old, where the males can live seventy to eighty years. but males very rarely
mate more than four times before they stop developing life pods.
RELIGION- Belief in a creative
deity to whom all are responsible and who assigns one's station in life
from birth, but who condemns any who attack others because they are different
in any way. Courtesy and good will a fundamental part of religious belief.
The Crystallines have colonies in many of the systems occupied by the Mora,
and, the Squiggle. Any worlds that are found that fit the needs of their
life system are made available to them, as they are of no use, whatsoever
to other members of The Galactic Community.
Crystallines rarely visit Earth,
as there is no place on Earth where they would not freeze solid without
special survival suits.
All in all, The Crystalline are
a wondrous and interesting people, the most beautiful of races.
