HOME WORLD- Quartee Nye

ORBIT- 319 days.

GEOGRAPHY- Small oceans. Low mountains. Great forested plains.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONS- Insectoid, standing approximately a foot high. Resembles beetles but do not fly.

SOLAR SYSTEM- Five planets. Quartee Nye is the first. The rest are all gaseous giants, each having dozens of moons. Quartee Nye is moonless.

POLITICAL SYSTEM- Royal hierarchy based on relationship to The Queen or High Mother.

RELIGION- Ancestral worship. The High Mother, or Queen is believed of Divine Origins, and is worshipped as the symbol of life's power, but it is realized she is only a symbol of the Higher Essence. But The Queen still possesses great religious and political power. Though she governs within the laws of the Great Order, written by The First Queen long before their recorded history.
The forests of Quartee Nye were infested with huge dinosaur-like creatures so The Podo Quartee's culture was developed underground. It was not until the so-called late eras when they developed powerful enough weapons to defend themselves, did the people venture above ground and begin to build great cities. They were highly advanced when discovered by The Mora but have no interest whatsoever, in space travel. As they put it, the ways of others disturbs us too much.
They have, however, let The Mora and The Squiggle colonize two moons that orbit two of their gaseous giants and share these colonies with them living apart.
