Thursday was a sad but beautiful day. My caseworker took me to Belfast, Maine to pick up my husband Gerald’s ashes. They fit perfectly in the temporary urn I bought. I got the paperwork to start my own cremation plan for in the future when my time comes. The weather was fantastic and there were some beautiful views I’m sure Gerald and everyone else in The Afterlife enjoyed seeing along with me.
I got the widow’s benefits from social security. It’s just a few dollars more a month, but it gets rid of my SSI payments, and like Gerald used to say, every little bit helps! The only thing now I need to have a copy of my marriage license to send them. I have one but I don’t know where it is. I’m also waiting for a form in the mail from a free lawyer so I can close his two small bank accounts. I’m so glad things are almost all settled concerning Gerald. I just knew he was laughing when my caseworker put the urn with his ashes in my Betty Boop tote bag and she carried it side ways to the car so nothing would happen to it! The urn is now sitting on my bureau beside the picture of us. They will be put in the permanent double urn when I have purchased it.
Now on to the national news. It’s so awesome to see people are doing the right thing for God lately and sticking to it, no matter what the media thinks about it. God praises Dan Cathy, the president of the Chick-fil-A restaurant franchise, and son of its founder, for his comment in an interview with The Baptist Press that says they support the traditional family, then recently during an interview on "The Ken Coleman Show" for giving this opinion again despite much outcry against him for it. If Maine had this restaurant I would definitely be a customer. Wherever they are I highly recommend them for sticking with God.
So heartbreaking to see that people can’t even go to the movies now without some sicko showing up and killing them like with the incident in Colorado at "Batman: The Dark Knight Rises" premier where a gunman killed twelve people and wounded fifty. He went in the theater, set off a smoke or tear gas bomb, then stood in front of the screen and started shooting. Until the shooting started some of the audience thought this was a some kind of movie stunt. Then of course, they tried to leave the theater. Fortunately the man who is in his early twenties, has been arrested. I hope justice will be done very soon. Condolences to the victims’ families.
Another Democrat has been removed from The Book Of Life, Democratic National Committee Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) for saying she agrees with Obama’s support on gay marriage and supports it also. The DNC is trying to get support for same sex marriage included in their party platform. These people will do anything to be popular. They chose to make their opinion public which helps teach children that gay marriage is o.k., a good thing to do. It doesn’t matter to them the one person they should be popular with is God. Unless they repent when they get to The Afterlife, give up their support they won’t be getting into Heaven.
After all these years an author has written a book about the murder of 6 year old JonBenet Ramsey December 26, 1996, reporting what we’ve been saying all along that there was no third person, an intruder, involved in the little girl’s death. It still bothers me very much that because action wasn’t taken by the police against her mother her soul was lost forever with filled with hate, anger and grief. I pray that nothing like this crime, also like murder of our dear Caylee ever happens again. Children are to be loved, nurtured and protected, not destroyed because of greed and jealousy. After all, as the saying goes, they are our future.
