5.

Northern Star was very excited when he woke in the morning of his ninth Visiting Day. For he would for the first time be visiting the Resting Places of his Ancestors alone. It would be the first step toward his manhood.

The young Angel went to the balcony of his apartment and looked to The Holiest Of Holies to say his morning prayers. Then it was he thought how nice it was to live in an outside apartment and not one of the inner ones. He was pleased his father was a General, and his family had his rank.

Northern Star showered and dressed, and then looked over the list of Ancestors he would visit that day. As he was reading the list he heard the water in the shower splashing, but lightly, and knew his mother was up and cleaning herself. This also meant father was not up yet. The boy waited some time before going for breakfast, and when he entered the kitchen he found his mother at the refrigerator, looking at it in somewhat of a distressed manner.

"Only work that is for pay!" cried Northern Star and ran off the balcony to bring himself into flight.

Three floors down from his apartment the boy's wings were opened from his back, and he flew toward the food store his family used. It was then that the sound of someone calling "Northern Star!" echoed in his ears, and upon looking to the right he saw a golden flash in the sun.

"Hello, Son Of God!" cried the one in flight as he saw his best friend Morn coming up to join him.

"North, how many times have I asked you not to call me that when we are alone?" asked Morning Star as they flew along together.

"I did not know we were alone!" the other said and both boys began to laugh.

"What brings you out so early?" Morn asked with a chuckle.

"To get milk for mocha. And what brings you out, golden one?"

"To see you is the answer," the handsomest Angel said. "It is my ninth year this year, as it is yours, and I need someone to take me to
