Greetings!

    Figured where it’s the middle of August already I’d better post something in my blog before I skip the month altogether.  On the home front things haven’t been good.  First of all two weeks ago I had breathing problems and called the ambulance.  Of all things I found out I have pneumonia!  Then the following week back to the ER again for severe pain in my right hip and leg.  Doctor told me it’s from the discs in my back getting closer together because of my age, and a little bursitis in my right hip.  They gave me lidocaine shots which worked wonders.  Plus  my legs are swollen again.  I don’t know what’s going to happen but I put up with it for a couple days then it got so bad I could barely walk.  Thank The Lords I still have my cane from when I had bursitis worse back in 2011.  Anyway they prescribed lidocaine patches but both my insurance won’t cover them, they’re waiting for my doctor’s approval on those, and also I’m going to get physical therapy in September, mainly for the exercise.  I never thought once I turned 65 all this would happen!  Still editing The Book.  Quite a ways to go on it yet.  Then there’s the question of funds to copyright it.  Like they say I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
    A couple of final notes on the home front.  So sad to say the company Gerald and I started to publish our books, Spiritist Publications, is now dead.  It’s too confusing for the Copyright Office for me to copyright books under that name though we have all these years.  So I have to claim the books are mine via something called by intestate succession and put my name on the copyright forms. It breaks my heart but of course I’ll have to comply by the rules.
    Also another end of an era event in my life.  I no longer rent a post office box.  It was too expensive and all that came there was junk mail.  It was good to use so I didn’t have to put my home address on the copyright forms, however now I’m not going to worry about it.  I’m sure Gerald approves of this decision. It costs over $100 a year! I was paying for 6 months.  Now, what’s happening out there? 
    Everyone in The Afterlife is of course thrilled that Donald Trump is still going strong as the official Republican presidential candidate! However They do wish he’d be a little more careful about what he says.  It’s so shocking the way the conservative Republicans are treating him!  Many are trying to think of any way they can to get him disqualified to run!  So far God prevails and he’s still the man for the job.  Let’s hope, for the sake of the world he gets it.
    Though I’m not a big sports fan, I’m so glad the Olympics are going so well.  I watched the opening night and was completely blown away with all the creativity, beauty and how well it was put together.  The US so far is doing great!   All I can say is may the best persons win! 
    In entertainment news the little person and all time great actor Kenny Baker has died at 81.  Everyone will always remember him most as R2 D2 in the original Star Wars trilogy.  Some have said he was a true gentleman.  I wouldn’t doubt it.  He was only 3′ 8″ tall!  Well, I’m only 4’10”.  Not much taller anyway. He will definitely be missed.  I’m sure the Force will be with him always.
    So scary about all the weather related issues going on right now, all the floods and fires.  My storm tracker friend Kelley Williamson, who works for The Weather Channel was filming the flooding in Louisiana the other day.  He was at a Wal Mart store in Denham Springs, seeing how high the water had gotten in the parking lot when he got stranded!  Him and his work partner Randy Yarnall, had to be rescued by one of the many motor boats helping in the area.  His truck got left there up on ramps he bought in the store.  Fortunately it’s ok and so are this special team who are out there helping keep people safe.  These guys will soon be having their own show on on The Weather Channel called The Weather Wranglers, about their storm tracking adventures.  Do check it out when it’s on.  Bless you Weather Channel for all the good work you do!
