First of all, as always thank goodness at the last minute the US Senate approved a bill to keep the Federal Government going at their current levels as a shut down which would’ve happened on Friday at midnight. The Senate vote was 66 – 32 and will keep things running good for a while. Hopefully both Republicans and Democrats in Congress will negotiate a bigger fiscal spending bill which is supposed to go through next September 30th. So far so good! Can’t complain much about that one. Thank you Lords for helping keep everybody fairly civil throughout and things will continue to go well until they draft the finished product. Miracles do happen….sometimes!
I wanted so much to draw a cartoon someone came up with in The Afterlife showing a depiction of the American flag concerning the way things are going with all the unfortunate but praised accusations by women of men who have sexually harassed and abused them. It’s so scary! It seems like it will never end. So the drawing of the flag would be it shaped like a hand with a pointing finger. Like we are proud and not afraid to tell the truth when there has been a wrong done to us! In the drawing the flag would still have the stars and stripes but still look like a hand with a pointing finger. How appropriate! Just had to pass that along.
People are saying that even with the President’s wishes to get rid of Obamacare and replace it with something better it’s popularity is going strong. Everyone is still signing up for it. Perhaps it’s because they don’t really have a choice. They don’t want to have to pay a fine for not having health insurance. The President is saying the claims of its popularity are not true.
Well, let’s see. On the international front, so to speak, everyone knows now that Princess Di’s son Prince Harry is engaged to wed actress Meghan Markle. I sense that his mum is very pleased. We also know that her other son William and his wife Kate are expecting their third child. Their first two are absolutely adorable! I praise her courage, where she becomes so ill during pregnancy she is usually confined to a hospital bed for part of it. I and my friends in The Afterlife wish all of them the best! Harry and Meghan’s official engagement photos are stunning!
On the home front I am still doing illustrations for The Book. Going too slow in my opinion but I’m doing my best. I have to wait til the idea for the next drawing comes into my head. I just can’t put down anything. I am now recovering slowly from a terrible cold which I get every year during which I can’t taste or smell for most of the time I have it. I hate it but can’t do much about it. At least this year I’m properly taking care of myself. I’m working on plastic canvas key chains I’m giving for Christmas gifts and everybody loves them. I’ll try to come up with a holiday card to link below for this year. OH! before I forget I have changed internet providers and have completely freed myself from the local popular company, Spectrum for good. I am very satisfied with my new internet and tv providers also the price of services. I just didn’t appreciate Spectrum’s way of doing things.
On a final note, can’t have one Christmas without posting the link to the first song I channeled by the spirit of John Lennon, “Listen To The Angels”<\/em><\/strong> which was with KROQ<\/a><\/em><\/strong> in LA’s help put on a CD featuring various popular singers, for children’s charity, and sold 56,000 copies. Thank you all once again for helping to save the world! Though it’s doesn’t feature all the original lyrics everyone here and in The Afterlife will always love it and praise our old friends Kevin & Bean!
