An Open Letter From Speaker Gerald Polley

To The World

You kind of get worried when some of those that aren't really in God's favor start supporting your issues!  Now, even Billy Graham's son is speaking out and saying that he doesn't think Obama is a Christian.  Like, DUH!  What's so hard to figure out about that? Anyone that supports homosexuality can't be a Christian.  It's a simple litmus test. If somebody says gay marriage is acceptable, that it's a civil right, then he's not Christian, it's that simple!  It's easy.  It's the quickest way to tell.  Anti abortionists might be able to make some small claims to be Christian  However, homosexuals, no way!  If they say it's acceptable they're not of God.  No ifs, ands, or buts!  When people like The Grahams are turning against Obama, you know there's something wrong!
There has been a lot of talk about Thomas Jefferson's religious beliefs.  He made a copy of The New Testament by cutting and pasting into a blank book.  He omitted such things as the miracles and the Resurrection, but kept all of Jesus' moral teachings.  I remember reading about this some years ago when my powers were working a little bit better, and just about everybody was hanging around.  We hadn't got into the state where nobody wanted to do anything because they didn't want to waste power.  Me and Jefferson had several lengthly conversations.  I asked him if he really did not believe in the miracles.  He answered "Of course I did!  However, I did not place upon them the importance that others did.  What I felt was important was the Man's teachings.  I believe they led to what is commonly referred to as salvation, not the miracles.  To converse with someone that was actually there and to have these things confirmed to me erases a lot of my doubts and gives me a far better understanding of things.  However, I still, to this day, believe that the teachings are what is important, and not, I do not quite know how to put it into words, I think the theatrics would be a good way of expressing it.  These might have been necessary to impress the people, and to fulfill the prophecies of The Messiah, but I do not and probably never will, believe they are as important as the teachings.  You, yourself put more emphasis on the teachings of your forebears than the wonders They were able to do.  So I think your People have more of an understanding of what I am trying to say than others would."
I can tell you, those were some interesting conversations!  Actually I think I agree with Jefferson.  The miracles of Jesus were incredible demonstrations of God's power given through His servants, but I, too, tend to believe that they are not as important as the teachings.  I don't think any miracle could surpass the simple words that so effected a multitude, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone!"  as Jesus knew full well that in His presence no man could lie and say that he had never sinned, no one could pick up the first stone.  Those words bear more power than any of the miracles.  I think Jefferson was on to something!  Some people say he wasn't religious.  Some people say he was a blasphemist. I think he was a man that was way ahead of his time.
People often say to me "Oh you can't actually believe Jesus did those things!"  Course I can!  I was there.  I saw them.  I saw twisted feet that had never been able to walk straighten and become sound.  I saw a man's eyes that had never opened suddenly open up and the expression on his face as he saw his children for the first time.  Yes.  I believe in the miracles of Jesus, because I witnessed them.  I know full well what a servant of God can do.  And I think Jefferson did, too!
Egypt has withdrawn its ambassador from Syria.  The British say they fear a civil war. What do you call what is happening?  It IS a civil war, funded from The United States and Britain.  It is an attempt to overthrow yet another stable Mideast government instead of working with it to improve conditions for its people.  You really wonder why people are so blind, why they cannot see what is happening.  Jordan is preparing to receive refugees from Syria.  Other countries should be preparing also.  The only solution for this problem is for the people that are displeased with the current government to leave.  Let things quiet down so we can work with the current government and better the conditions of the people there.  However, it is obvious from the number of people that are still supporting the current government that it is the government of choice.  If it was not it would've failed some time ago.  God has offered a solution.  Let the countries that are worried about the people in Syria, that don't want the current government, take them in, disperse them among them, and let them become part of their nations.  If they don't want to be Syrian let them be something else, and let Syria fulfill its destiny.  We cannot let Obama gain control of another Mideast country!  We are going to have a hard time dealing with what he has done in Libya and Egypt, though the Egyptians are showing signs that they might want out, and might be willing to deal.  They have not yet responded, however, to any of God's proposals. However, that might come.
We've been asked to put forth proposals that would give Libya an opportunity to become acceptable again.  Unfortunately, it's such a mess that we're not exactly sure what we would be able to do there.  The one thing we would insist upon, would be that all charges be dropped against all members of Gadhafi's family, their resources be returned to them, and, they be allowed to go into exile in The United States. That would be the beginning. We're not sure from then on.  Libya may be unsavable for many years.  I guarantee if I'm president they will get no aide, whatsoever, from The United States, nothing.  I have no use for those that become the puppets of a petty dictator and murder women and children in his name.  There's a lot of crimes that have to be dealt with.
I think political correctness has gone a little bit too far with the way ESPN has made such a fuss about the "chink in the armor" comment made by some of their employees pertaining to Jeremy Lin of The New York Knicks.  I think some people are just getting a little too sensitive!
Now people are attacking Rick Santorum for his comments on Obama's religion.  Why?  I might not agree with some of the things that Santorum supports, we've really gotta discuss education!  However, as far as I'm concerned his comments on Obama's religious beliefs are right on target!  It's almost as if I wrote some of them!  So this is something I'll agree on.  However, that prenatal care leads to abortion? I don't think so!  We've got to get some reality here!  The man has some good points, but he's got to get away from the anti abortionists' propaganda.  Just can't have this kind of stuff!  Just not acceptable!
