We're so sad today to learn the baby who was found
in a field after the rest of her family was killed in a tornado has
also died. It was decided to remove her from life support.
She had a serious brain injury. Her grandmother reported she was
at her bedside at the time with other extended family members.
When she let go of the baby's hand she put her arms straight out.
It's assumed she was reaching for the spirit of her father who had come
to take her to The Afterlife. I would imagine this is true, and
hope now they're together There. I saw an interview with their
neighbor, the man who tried to save them from the tornado by bringing
them into his double wide trailer, on the news. He was picked up
by the tornado also, then dropped fifty feet, suffering a broken arm
and other broken bones. He was happy his legs were ok. I can't
imagine what going through something like that is like, and he explains
he was unconscious but woke up at some point inside the tornado for a
few minutes. I will admit that is one of my worst fears, to be in
a tornado in any way. I actually saw one when we lived in
Orlando, Florida fortunately it didn't turn in our direction! Our
prayers go out to the victims of these deadly storms, their families
and friends. It's so horrible when the dark ones do these things
to get more power. As an added note, the man who survived said the
other trailer disappeared also, so no matter what the family wouldn't
have made it.
So sad to hear from the news on KROQ
a young woman who texted to someone that sending text messages
while driving was bad was killed in a car accident just after sending
that message to Facebook less than two months ago. She ran into a
semi in front of her on a lonely stretch of road at night. She
was doing 80 mph. Her family is trying to get a law passed
that will ban texting while driving. I pray this will be passed
in in their state and everywhere in America. I hope kids
will think twice about doing that now.
Now for some good news! Pop singer Beyonce
recently was seen breastfeeding her baby daughter Blue Ivy in a New
York restaurant. She was there with her partner Jay-Z. The
story got so popular that it's sure to encourage other mothers to
breastfeed in public. It's been reported that it's very rare for
African American mothers to do this. So this makes it even more of
benefit to them. Health officials are hoping that this will
encourage more mothers to follow suit, not be afraid so they have to
wait until they get home. Thanks Beyonce, for helping mothers
everywhere.
