An Open Letter From Speaker Gerald Polley
God's Candidate For The Presidency Of The United States In 2,012
To The World

Now, sometimes I will admit I am asked questions
that things are so fouled up I don't really know what the answer
is! Believe it or not even God's not positively sure what we
should do! When He's not sure, you know we're in a mess!
That's the thing we have right now with gas prices in The United
States, and I know what a problem it is. However, so far every
time I look at somebody's answer it's one I have deep and abiding
concerns about. We just can't throw away all environmental
regulations. We just can't start drilling in unsafe areas.
It is a real problem! I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to
decide what to do before I can get in office and really look at what
the alternatives are. The guy on the street just does not have
all the facts. However, I can assure the American public, as soon as I
have an opportunity I will be talking to people and trying to come up
with a solution.
I, myself, believe in organic fuels.
Eventually we're going to have to replace fossil fuels. I also
believe in electric vehicles. I think some day they will take a
tremendous strain off the gas supply. However, we have to make
them less expensive and more reliable. It's just a bad
situation! I won't lie to people and say I've got a solution when
I haven't got one. I will not make promises I can't keep. I'll
ask people to let me know what their opinions are.
I heard Ralph Nader was still around the other day
and is running as the candidate of one of the small parties. I
don't intend to have this consumer protection agency that Obama has
pushed through illegally, like everything else he does, however, I
would like to have someone in The White House working with me
monitoring these problems, and, the federal budget to help me keep
people from sneaking through unnecessary programs. If I can raise
the funds I'd like to hire him as an assistant. He wouldn't be
the head of any department, however, he would be doing very important
work. When we get going it's an idea I definitely want to put
forward. As I have promised the people I will give them the
absolute truth. I will tell them what answers I'm putting forth
to problems, and when I haven't got an answer and I've gotta work on
it, I'll tell them so. Because I won't cheat the people, I won't
promise what I can't deliver. To me that's dirty politics and I
won't practice it.
Linda got a question that I think deserves an
answer. Should people be angry all the time? Should they be
blaming everybody else for their problems and not really seeking
solutions for them? No, they shouldn't. When you're angry
all the time it draws the dark creatures. Now you have to be a
little bit angry when things are being done that shouldn't be
done. That's what makes us stand up and say "No more!" Then you
need to use logic, you need to use common sense, or you'll be tricked
into doing things that are totally unacceptable, like this guy in
Afghanistan and this poor soul in Florida. However, you can't
constantly blame everybody else for your problems, because 95% of the
time the one that's responsible for your problems is you.
We were just talking about gas. The person who
has a gas guzzling car shouldn't blame everybody else if fuel is so
expensive. He's pushing up the price because he's driving a
vehicle that isn't fuel efficient he's creating a part of the
problem. People tend to be angry and blame everybody else for
every little thing. You can't do that. Because when you're
doing that you're not looking for solutions, you're not trying to fix
problems, you're trying to blame others for them, so you won't have to
take responsibility. Some people don't like that. They want
others to blame. That's what causes racism. That's what
causes hate.
People constantly complain that I'm
unrealistic, I don't live in the real world. I'm more aware of
the real world than many others, much more aware of it. I've seen
what constant anger can do to some of the best people. I've seen
how it slowly devours them. It's simply not the answer.
Justifiable anger to start to get control of a situation and then
replace it with logic. Fortunately many ages ago I had some very
good teachers, pretty damned smart people. I always share their
wisdom. Because I've never found anything better.
Well, I guess Santorum and I have got something in
common! I've been known to tell off a reporter or two that twists
an issue and misrepresents something I've said. You should've
heard some of the old radio interviews I used to do! It's bound to
happen once and a while and I think he's absolutely right! Some
reporters are trying to create confrontation. I guarantee them,
they try to irritate me during an interview, and they'll get far more
confrontation than they ever dreamed of! They'll think an atomic
bomb has gone off! There's been times I've left a commentator
crying and wondering what in the hell hit them! So I guess
Santorum and I do have a bit in common!
Well, think I'll end the day with this. Sometimes you get
really irritated with the ignorance that you read and the total
disregard of peoples' rights! A school administrator in Indiana
expelled a young man for something he put on his Twitter account during
his own time at home on his own computer. Had nothing to do with
school, whatsoever, however, the teacher took offense to it and
expelled the young man. I guarantee you, when I'm president I will be
seeking legislation that any school administrator that does something
like this will be immediately and without question fired! Now
what's done at school teachers, principles and whatever have a right to
regulate them. What a person does at home, unless it's a criminal
act, is none of their business, whatsoever! People say "Oh!
You can't have that!" Yes you can!
It's a very simple matter. Teachers regulate what is
their responsibility to regulate. Anything beyond that is the
responsibility of the civil authorities not the schools. What
isn't done on the school property is no damned business of the school
except in the case of threats and something like that. Again,
this should be dealt with through the civil authorities, not the
school. A school's job is to teach, I know that's a shocking idea
however, that's what it's supposed to be. We've got to get away
from this idea that those running the schools run the lives of
children, not their parents. When a child goes home it's no
longer the responsibility of the teachers, it's in it's parent's care,
and that is as it should be. If the parents aren't doing a proper
job that's up to the civil authorities, not the teachers.
