Just wanted to write to you today with the latest
update on my husband's medical situation. Yesterday, May
1st, because he was having sever pains, shortly after 7 a.m. Gerald
& I went to the Ellsworth hospital's emergency room by cab, as he
didn't want to take the ambulance there again where he did twice last
week. They did a couple of tests, and fortunately had the results
of his PET scan he had done last Friday. The doctor told him that
they would be admitting him to the hospital to try to find out exactly
what's wrong and get it fixed. They told him he may be sent to
the Bangor hospital, which is I think about a 45 minute drive
away. They said the PET scan showed spots on his lungs and
liver. They first needed to do a biopsy of some of these spots to
find out where they're coming from and how they need to treat
them. Just after 3 he was taken to a room and I went home.
I spoke to him a few minutes ago on the phone.
He will be going for the biopsy at 10:30. They have to give him a
shot so he won't feel anything and go to sleep. Then they'll put
a tiny needle in between his ribs, use ultrasound to guide it then
examine his liver. I told my friend at bingo last night it sounds
like something they'd tell about on a National Geographic
Special! The amazing things they can do nowadays! Anyway
after that he's not sure what's going to be happening. He's still
very weak and having a few twinges of pain. He didn't sleep very
well last night.
The day was going fairly well until his sister
called him last night, the one he has disowned because she was so mean
to us when we moved back to Maine from North Dakota. He told her
never to call again and told the nurses he didn't want to talk to
her. We're not sure how she found out he is in the hospital,
possibly by one of our nieces reading my updates on Facebook.
Anyway, that's what's happening on the home
front. I'm trying to hang in here, and stay calm. My
husband may be fearless but I'm scared to death! The both
of us will be glad when this biopsy is over and hopefully they'll have
a good report on it. I was finally able to get some cash on hand
and will be going to visit him, but it won't be today as things will be
too hectic there will all this testing going on. At least I can
call.
God is very disappointed that we don't have enough staff and He can't come through and get a message out.
Like Gerald says, all the other presidential
candidates have been sick too. Romney's been sick, however we
hope he's never this sick! Like Gerald says we wouldn't even wish
this on Bill Clinton!
Speaking of Bill Clinton, we see that he's now
helping out Obama with his presidential campaign. Now this is
really scary, the two worst creatures of Darkness in the world working
together. Like Gerald says, it's very rare because they usually
prefer to work alone. It makes me cringe! It's like two
vultures hovering waiting to swoop down and destroy the human race
forever. We have to stop them! Something needs to be done
to help The Republicans defeat him. There is a better candidate,
Speaker Gerald Polley is the only one that can win. He's God's
Republican candidate and when God says so you know it's true. I
hope you will support my husband's campaign. Romney may be
popular in the polls, but he's a loser. He will hurt
America. He'll be as bad as Obama. Like my husband's
campaign slogan says "Let's Fix This Mess!" Join us and witness
miracles!
