Had a wonderful Mother's Day!
Gerald invited me to visit with him and we had a good time. Worked on
the emails, played some music. He got some rest because he still
has pain. His cancer treatments start Wednesday. He gave
the link to a picture he let me take to post online in his message, but
here's one in case you missed it.
Glad to see ABC is finally making some sense
and canceling some offensive shows. They've gotten rid of "GCB"
and "Don't Trust The B In Room 23". They better have renewed
"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Wish "Modern Family" would have been one of
the shows to get the boot. Now I wish other stations would
see sense and get rid of "Glee". CBS has renewed "Two And A
Half Men," for a tenth season, though I don't understand why, and even
more why I'm still watching it. It's a little too gay now.
And not as funny as when Charlie Sheen was on it. Though now the
little girl that plays Walden's girlfriend's daughter is adorable and
very funny.
Hmmmm. Something fishy in Arizona. The
little girl, Isabel Celis who is missing's father has been barred by
Child Protective Services from seeing his two older sons.
Detectives called them in. Child Protective Services state that
this is common practice in cases regarding missing children. The
authorities didn't say why they called them in. I think there's
more to it than what they're saying. I hope the girl is all right
and will be returned safely to her mother.
What the hell? In Indiana last week police were
called out to stop a man wearing only a baseball cap who was on a
shooting spree. Scary! Sounds like another drug
addict. Hope he will never try that again.
God as always blesses The Dalai Lama but now
even more for giving $1.5 million to Save The Children. This
makes up most of the Templeton Prize money he won. I'm not sure
what that is but thank you, thank you!
Thank you Freshman Rep. James Lankford, a
Republican from Oklahoma, who says he's against laws designed to
protect employees from workplace discrimination because he believes
being gay is a choice. He says that racial and sexual orientation
are two different things. Someone may have gay tendencies however
if they become gay it is a choice. Because of Obama's
announcement that he supports gay marriage there was a legislative push
on such safeguards last week by a bipartisan group of senators who
renewed calls for hearings on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
This legislation would expand the anti discrimination language to
include sexual orientation and gender identity. Rep. Lankford's not the
only freshman Republican to oppose this bill. Apparently last
week Rep. Allen West, a Florida Republican said this wasn't necessary
because discrimination based on sexual orientation didn't happen in the
United States Of America. I think he's a little mistaken there,
however it's great he doesn't want that thing either!
We, also believe being gay is a choice, and a mental illness.
When my husband Gerald is in The White House he'll make sure no
legislation such as this ever goes through!
