Had quite a rough time last night! A minor incident almost turned
into a total disaster in The Kingdom Of God! Here's the link to
our message. You can see why!
We've been asked again why we're not commenting on the Warren Jeffs
situation. Well, we really don't want to get involved in it. This
is a really tricky issue! We're not exactly pleased with the
verdict. There's an old expression, you can't rape the
willing. We'd really have to talk to the victims in this
situation before we could really make a judgment. It's absolutely
true that there's been some gross sexual misconduct here, but we really
don't know if we can call it rape.
Somebody has asked "What if Warren Jeffs' people came along and offered
a courier/protector with the funds for her to serve? You couldn't
possibly accept her!" Well, unfortunately there is one available
in their community that they already know has God's power, that would
have 60% of the power of the original protector. If we could get
the other protectors, her power would be enough for her to serve even
without a booster from the regular Mormon community at Salt Lake City.
Just because a people's way of life is unpopular, does not mean that
they don't have power. There is good and bad in every society,
and not all in this society are as bad as Jeffs. If this
community was to make such an offer we would have to accept it.
Of course they won't, but the possibility is there. It would
fulfill the agreement with Joseph Smith, and please him greatly!
Of course as we constantly say, we would like to have the Islamic
protectors with us first, because they are the warriors and their power
is needed to protect the others. Just because Jeffs is an idiot,
thinks he can get away with anything, does not mean that the rest of
his people aren't capable of truly serving God! As we say, some
of the things that we have to speak about won't be popular! But
we will never hide any of God's truth.
