We got a post card from The Lebanon Study Group thanking us for using Clair V's article, but stating they objected to us using the word 'unlearned' in association with Native American Peoples.  We have tried to find someone in The Spirit Realm to answer these comments.  The Great Sioux War chief Crazy Horse, has come forward to give us his comments on these issues.

1.  Crazy Horse, do you think these good people are right in their objections to us saying your people were unlearned?

A.  No, Walks With Thunder.  I do not consider that they are right at all, in objecting to your stating such a fundamental truth.  My people know how to live in harmony with the land, how to use what we had, and we had a deep and profound respect for the land, and, for all that was upon it.  But all that we did was by trial and error.  We did things simply because over the years we had found this the best way of doing them.  We had no idea WHY it was best to do things this way, we only know this way worked for us.
We had no knowledge of the wondrous things you now take for granted every day; chemistry, calculus, astronomy- the list could go on and on!  You have learned these things and have used them to make a world we couldn't even dream of.  If we had had these knowledges, our world, our way, would have been far different.
Our way had a weakness.  We were slow to take in new knowledge, slow to change even when that change was for the better.
Many still have this fault, and it is not good.  What Walks With Thunder is trying to tell you is true.  We WERE an unlearned people.  But now we have the opportunity to learn.  All the knowledge of the present day is available to our sons and daughters.  They can learn what hurts them, and they can take that knowledge and make their lives better with it.
They do not HAVE to be lost in the ignorance of their Fathers.  They do not have to doom their children to sickness and pain, because they do not know that something they thought was beneficial was actually harmful.  They can use the new knowledge that has been given them to make THEIR harmony with All That Is stronger, more vital.  They do not have to be stuck in the past.  They can go on to the future taking the new, combining it with the old, and making something better than it ever was before.
THIS is what I say to these good people, Walks With Thunder.  This is what I ask them to do.  And I hope, I pray to All That Is Good that they understand my words, and hearken to them.
I thank you for this time to speak."
