The question running constantly through The Kingdom Of God is "Where is Jesus?" Since His resignation and disappearance it is the topic of every free moment. Rumors abound and some of them are totally wild! I will give just one example.
It is being said that Jesus has taken on a living form and has made contact with a group in Israel that plans to storm The Temple Mount in Jerusalem and tear down the mosque there, and seize the ground in the name of Israel.
Such rumors are preposterous! It is true Jesus wants The Temple Mount returned to His people, and the mosque removed. But He wants it done LEGALLY and, CARINGLY....so the mosque can be carefully stored, and when its people are ready be reerected in another place that they can call their own.
"It is," Jesus would explain, "a sacred place. It was misguided men that put it where it is now."
This crazy rumor only goes to show how desperate the people in The Kingdom Of God are. They have to believe that Jesus has not forsaken them completely, that He isn't just somewhere resting, regaining His strength.
He is fighting for The Kingdom Of God, somewhere, somehow. He has not totally forsaken them. They HAVE to believe this. It's the only thing that is keeping them sane.
