#15 The second race now applying to join The Galactic Community is also
the second race to rebel against The Ashtarians.
NAME- Flitter Neel (Rooted Ones)
HOME WORLD- Tarneel (Sacred One)
LENGTH OF ORBIT- 389 days.
GEOGRAPHY- Again a world with no land masses on the equator. Almost all
the land lies in the equatorial regions making a mild climate. Land is very
broken up. Though it actually has a little bit more land to sea ratio than
Earth it looks less because the land masses are so small.
SOLAR SYSTEM- 18 planets. Tar Neel being the 6th. Two of the inner planets
are also life sustaining but no life evolved there. They were colonized
by The Ashtarians, but the colonies did not do welll, and withdrew even before
the recent difficulties. All the outer planets are too cold to sustain life.
There are only two gaseous giants in the system, and they are the furthest
out. They have no moons or ice rings. None of the system's planets have
any moons.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION- Flitter Neel look very human but one look at their
skin would tell you they're not. It's green! The Flitter Neel are plants.
Though they have developed internal organs that perform many of the functions
of mammals' organs, they are plants. To reproduce the female carefully selects
about a pound of soil which she puts in a slit in her abdomen. The male
then sprays pollen into the slit until the female feels the seed inside her
growing. When the seed is ready it drops into the soil she has put in her
abdomen and roots. It remains there for ten months, then the abdomen splits,
whereupon the child is removed from the mother and planted in a specially
prepared pot in the house, where it continues to grow for ten years until
its arms, legs and internal organs develop. It's roots break and it becomes
mobile.
POLITICAL SYSTEM- Clan afiliation with elected leader. All decisions made
by majority vote.
RELIGION- Ancestor worship. The Flitter Neel believe in a Divine Being but
believe it too powerful to approach themselves, so pray to their Ancestors
and ask Their Ancestors to intercede on their behalf. They also read each
day from a book of wisdom which is very similar to Confucious or Buddhist
teachings that give examples of righteous living. One of its primary expressions
is, 'Betray not others, for you, yourself, would not want to be betrayed.'
Good bits of wisdom!
