31 "What are dreams?" the governor snorted, "They are nothing! I will follow my own will. I have no need of the advice of this bastard from Rome. Don't trouble me, woman. You do not understand these things."
32 The governor's wife left, but she was ferful, VERY fearful!
33 Attiring himself, and, gathering his men, Demetrius sat out but did not find Jesus until he reached the High Priest's house, and there decided to linger outside the gate. Perhaps he would not be needed, but he knew deep inside him he would be.

PETER'S DENIAL
Chapter Sixty-Four

Now, it was cold. The people in the courtyard of the High Priest's house had kindled a fire to drive away the chill.
2 Peter came over sitting among them. A certain maid saw him as he sat by the fire looking at him with curiosity, finally saying, "This man was also with Jesus."
3 Peter answered, "Woman, I know Him not."
4 After a little while another saw him and said, "I know I have seen you with Him. You are one of His chosen."
5 Peter answered, "Sir, I am not."
6 About an hour passed. Another came over saying, "It is true! This fellow was with Him. For he is a Galilean!"
7 Peter rebuked him strongly, saying, "Man, know you not what you say. I do not know Him!"
8 As he spoke the last word the cock crowed. Peter froze, looking towards Jesus, who was nearby, and remembered His warning....'Before the cock crows you will deny me three times.'
9 Peter went out of the gate. Seeing Demetrius he put his head upon his shoulder and wept. Demetrius comforted him, saying, "Be not ashamed. For you have done what was expected of you so that which has been written might be fulfilled."
10 Now, those that held Jesus, began to mock Him. They blindfolded Him, and began to take turns striking His face, asking Him to prophesize who it was that was striking Him.
11 They began to taunt Him, accusing Him of all kinds of foulness with children, animals, and men.
12 Again they asked Him to prophesy. Jesus answered them, saying, "Behold, The Angel Of Death stands at the gate. He who brought down Heaven sees the wickedness in your hearts, hears the foulness of your words. Every act that you do is weighed and numbered, awaiting the hour of your destruction.
13 I care not what you do to me. The foulness of your mouths does not trouble me. I would leave you in peace, but beware He who will rip your Souls from your flesh and send you to Eternal Night.
14 Any man that has sense does not draw down the wrath of God."
15 Those that mocked Him looked toward the gate and saw the eyes of him that watched them. They ceased mocking Him.
16 They covered Him with a blanket against the cold, and stood by in silence. For even in their great ignorance they feared those eyes.
17 When it became day the elders of the people, the Chief Priests, the Scribes came together and led Him before their council, asking "Are you The Christ? Tell us!"
18 Christ answered, "Why should I bother? You will not believe. Even if I tell you not, you will not believe me and let me go.
19 Therefore, shall the Son Of Man sit at the right hand of God, and be in His Power. Then shall say them all, 'Are you then, the Son Of God?'
20 He answered them boldly, "Yes, I am!"
21 The Chief Priest rose, crying in a loud voice, ripping his robe, "Why need we hear any more witnesses? We, ourselves, have heard the blasphemy from His own mouth. Let us stone Him!"
22 They went to drag Him out. As they did so they met Demetrius and his soldiers. He took Jesus.
23 "We will not permit you to interfere!" cried The High Priest. "This is an affair of Judaea. We demand to take Him before the governor!"
24 "Then select a small number," ordered Demetrius, "to speak for you, then we shall take Him before the governor. But this mob will not pass through the streets."
25 So they selected a delegation and proceeded to the governor.

JESUS IS CRUCIFIED
Chapter Sixty-Five

Now, as they made their way to the governor's palace they came upon Judas The Tailor. Some of Jesus' desciples had followed him, overpowered him, and hung him from the beam running between two buildings.
2 Demetrius came up to him finding his full purse still hanging on his side, for those that followed Jesus would not touch blood money.
3 Demetrius removed the purse and had the body cut down. He tossed the purse to The High Priest, who handled it like it was a hot rock.
