FAITHFULNESS

1  Remember, oh faithful, those from the past, and forget not their lessons  Remember Joseph, who was a true servant of Allah, who foresaw that his brothers should be subserviant to him, though he was the younger, and when his brothers grew angry over this, and sold him into bondage, making his father believe he was dead, Joseph did not lose heart, for he believed in Allah and held fast to him.
2  And he served his masters well in his new land, and they came to adore him, and gave him a position of high authority.
3  And when famine seized the lands Joseph's brothers had to go down into the land when he was, and beg from him sustinance.  But Joseph was not cruel unto them, and gave them their need, and had his father brought down to him, that he could again kiss his cheek.
4  Remember well, oh beloved, the lesson of Joseph.  Be not afraid in any circumstance, for if you love God, all that he has shown you will be fulfilled, as it was fulfilled for Joseph.

FALSE LEADERS

1  Oh, Believers, do not think that because you follow a mighty man you can transgress The Law Of Allah.  For it is not so.
2  Remember Great Pharaoh, who was the mightest of men, and had in his time, the greatest army ever known.  He enslaved our beloved brothers and sisters of Israel, and put them in terrible bondage.  They prayed for a redeemer and that redeemer was sent who was Moses.
3  Now, The Dark Ones told Pharaoh of Moses' coming and he sent out his soldiers to kill all males born.  But Moses' mother put him in a basket of reeds and trusted him to Allah in the river.
4  And Pharaoh's sister took him up, calling him her own, and had his very mother nurse him.  And Moses was raised in Pharaoh's house, learning all of Pharaoh's secrets.
5  And Moses fled Pharaoh's tyranny and came back not with a mighty army, but with the Power Of God, saying "Let my people go!"
6  But The Dark Ones hardened Pharoah and he would not til God visited him terrible plagues and slew his first born.  Then Pharaoh released Israel.
7  But then The Dark Ones kindled Pharaoh's hatred again and he sent his army after them.
8  And Israel fled between the water that stood like mighty walls on both sides of them.  And when Pharoah's great armies tried to pursue, the waters came down and drowned them all.
9  Hearken well to this great lesson, oh beloved!  Follow not a man of great arms into evil.  Do not think that he can prevail against The Children Of Allah.  Do not think that he can break Allah's promises.
10  Remember Pharaoh and his soldiers drowned.

THE SWINE

1  There are certain things, beloved, that our brothers and sisters of Israel have been taught not to eat, and these teachings are good for you, also.
2  The flesh of the swine is not acceptable to you.  The pig should not pass your lips.  For it is the foulest of creatures, and will eat anything alive, or dead, and you should not, yourselves, eat it.
3  Nor should you eat any bird that eats dead things, for they are defiled by what they eat and their flesh is not acceptable.
4  Nor should you eat rats, for they, too, devour anything that they can find, alive or dead, and carry within them all manner of foulness.
5  No, my beloved, stay away from these things, and remember what the children of Israel have been taught.  For the wisdom that they have been given concerning the things that you should not eat is good.  And if you follow their example no harm should come to you.
6  Be careful, my bretheren, also, what you drink.  Drink not wine that has been made strong, or that that has been distilled.  Nothing that is fermented of the grains of the field.  For these things disturb the mind, and do harm to the flesh.
7  Oh, beloved, Allah warned your brothers and sisters for good reason.  Do not waste those warnings that Allah gave.  Follow their example, and it will be well for you.  For what Allah teaches is good.
