THE BOOK OF MUHAMMED

PRELUDE

Now, it is the time after the ministry of Jesus, and His Teachings that are coming to be known as Christianity are rapidly spreading, and this brings great concern in The Afterlife.  The Great Dragon, The Council that rules The Republic Of Souls, The Children Of The Light, gathers in session.  Their Great Leader, The Lord Of Morning, puts Their fears into words.
"Jesus is our Good Friend, and we cherish Him.  But His Teachings are already becoming corrupt.  Many are being led towards evil by those that supposedly follow Him.  If these false teachings spread throughout the world, there is a good chance it will come to pass that The Great Awakening Of Our Children will not be able to take place!  The conditions in this world may be as bad as they were in the old Empire, and, in time, mankind, following these false teachings, will destroy themselves, and our children will be lost.  We need a counter force, we need to teach those among the living Our Way, and guide them so that in time, they can be taught the entire Truth, and become part of The Great Republic once again.  But where are we to place such a counter force, and who is available to take on the task of teaching the leader of this force?"
And The Council murmured for some time, then one member rose.  "Our Great Lord," he called, "The Light Of The North, The Northern Star, is now available.  It will be a hundred years before he is again needed to journey through life. It so happens that on the great peninsula below Israel he has many descendants that are filled with The Power.  If he was to bring two of these descendants together, he could create an individual that would be great in The Power!  He could teach this individual Our Way, and guide him through his life so that he would become an example to others."
Now, the great Lord Of Morning heard this, and was interested, but he was also concerned.  "The Northern Star," he said, "has just completed a great mission, and is weary.  Should we send him out on such a great task when he is so little rested?"
The other councilmen considered, but there seemed to be none other that could go and perform the Task. So, with reluctance, The Lord Of Morning called The Star Of The North to him, and, before The Council proposed his mission.
The Star Of The North listened, then spoke. "I am not against such a Task, my brother.  But all here must know that man is not yet ready to know the Truth that we are.  He is not yet ready to fully understand what We will give him.  Just as what Jesus has taught has become corrupted, that which We teach will become corrupted, too."
And The Great Lord Of Morning considered, and answered, "It may be so.  But without what We would give them, man would be doomed.  We cannot give them everything, but if we call Infinite Law God, and teach them Its principles as if They are from God, they should accept enough to do very well, and save themselves until The Awakening begins.  If you will take this mission, my friend and brother, I would be pleased!  Select two of your descendants and make one worthy for you to teach, and teach him as much of Our Way as you can, so that our children may survive to be our Glory."
The Great Light Of The North spread his wings in homage, and bowed, crying "Oh, Lord Of Morning, oh, Light Of Truth, he who led us from The Darkness into The Light, that which you ask I go to do! For anything that you ask is good and true, and for the blessing of all."
And with that The Lord Of The North departed to gather what he would need to complete his mission, a host of Angels to be at his beck and call.
