Things are still quiet in The Afterlife, except Jesus is
mad.
Monday we were running late, the bus was running early, and I had to
run
a little bit to get through the bushes so the bus driver could see me
and
stop. That little bit of extra pressure inflamed my bad
foot.
I have been in misery for three days. Fortunately, I have
very good
bosses, and very good coworkers and they have been lugging stuff for me
so I don't have to move around much, and I have been managing to get
through
the work day. But Jesus is upset that I have to stand out in
the
cold and wait for the bus in pain, and we have no one to help us while
those who are destroying the world and will not listen to Him have
armor
plated limousines and hundreds of staff and they're nice and warm and
comfortable.
He says maybe He'll turn off their heat and see how they like being
cold.
Aside from that everything continues as it has been. The
Kingdom
Of God is still trying to keep people from buying this
Christmas.
Every night President Bush is being shown the results of the current
Mid
East Peace Plan...a barren, lifeless, empty Earth inhabited only by
decaying
corpses slowly turning to dust. The struggle continues.

Police On The Old Worlds
One of the questions we are often asked about The Old Worlds
is did
they have police, the type of street patrols and emergency response
that
we have on Earth? Well, The Peepians and The Hashons both had
police
forces quite similar to what is on Earth. Among The Hashons
the police
officers were called Guardians. Among The Peepians they were
called
Street Keepers. But they performed the same functions as the
police
on Earth.
Haven, however, had no real organized police force.
They
had The Lord's Guard, but this organization was purely to protect the
interests
of The Lord God and not a true police force as those on Earth would
recognize
one. On Haven all citizens were required to enforce the
law.
If they saw an illegal act being committed it was their responsibility
to seize the purpetrator and bring them to the nearest detention center
where they would be held for judgement by the local
magistrates.
To people on Earth it probably sounds like a crazy idea, but it was a
system
that worked very effectively! The Lords Guard did not go out
and
patrol the streets. One was stationed at each detention
center, and
processed any voilator brought in. But they did not go out
seeking
criminals, they were brought to them. Or, criminal activity
was reported
to them and they went out and seized the purpurtrators.
People on
Earth would say "Oh, my God! A system like this couldn't
possibly
work! There would be total chaos!" But it worked
and worked
very effectively! There was very little street crime on Haven
because
there were so many people ready to deal with anyone committing
it.
Criminals simply had no opportunity to function.
