Beatles & Friends were doing a concert last night. They got through
the first half and were getting ready to leave the stage when John
came back to the microphone and said "Hey, folks! You know, I'm supposed
to be on strike 'til some of my music gets on a CD in the material
world. I didn't intend to do any new work. But there's a new morning
show out there that's asking for a theme song especially from me. Do you
think we ought to give 'em one? Think we ought to work on it right here,
right now?"
The crowd started jumping up and down and going "Yes! Yes! Do it! Do it!
Yes! Yes! Do it! Do it!"
John took a slip of paper out of his pocket and said "Let's see, the name
of the show is The Boogie Man & Indie. Indie's kind of cute, too! How
'bout this?" And they began to go through several renditions. They added some
stuff, took out some stuff, the other band members suggested things, the
audience suggested things until they came up with this:
