Got a question the other day from someone reading The Old World articles.  They asked "Was there ever a situation in any of The Old Worlds comparable to what is happening in Iraq today?"  None can ever be remembered.  Whenever there were any comperable political situations like those occurring in Iraq when The Forces Of Justice came in and took over there was not the resistance that is being seen in Iraq.  This type of prolonged and desperate evil seems to be a purely earthly phenomena.  On The Old Worlds when someone like Hussein was put out of power his minions were quickly gathered and dealt with.  They weren't allowed to remain in power.  Iraq is amazing those outside of this world, as Viet Nam did.  That evil is so out of control here troubles everybody, and no one seems to have the perfect solution.  What is happening on Earth today is unlike anything that has happened anywhere.  The human race seems utterly determined to commit suicide, ARE they utterly determined! 

Had one of those great happenings the other day that come from out of nowhere, but give you such absolute delight.  Linda had gone to the mail and came back all excited with two envelopes, saying "What are these?  What are these?  I opened them and they were two checks from "Jimmy Kimmel, Live!"  for $600!  We were just worrying because I'd had to pay almost $800 to have a tooth capped unexpectedly, and we weren't sure we were going to have enough to get through the winter with the increasing fuel bills.  And all of a sudden here's what we need to pay off the bill, and enough to see us in good stead, through the winter!  The Lords provide!  They find those with infinite kindness, and send them our way.  We could sure use a few more of them!  The money was for the rerun of a show we had been on.  We had no idea we'd get paid for it!  Unexpected blessings!
