In Great Spirits
Well things here are really looking up today as far as Speaker Gerald
Polley's health is concerned! I spent the afternoon and early
evening with him at the hospital yesterday. I had lunch and
supper there, we just talked, had some meetings about what his care
will be like when he gets home, talked with some people about possibly
getting help with paying the bills, and even transportation to doctor's
appointments while Jesse is on vacation. We even watched some
t.v.! He was able to sit up most of the time I was
visiting, and walked around quite a bit. They had removed the
rest of the tubes from his chest and neck and he feels so much
better. They have to switch the brand of insulin he's using
because the stuff added to the brand he's on now was making his eyes
burn. He's still on the pain pills once and a while, and hasn't
been getting much sleep because of all the blood tests, and blood
pressure checks during the night. Everyone in The Afterlife is very
pleased at Gerald's progress. He's also in good spirits, so to
speak, and is even joking around again too, which I'm sure is to the
delight of John Lennon and George Harrison. They say Gerald
should be coming home Saturday. It still has to be learned
how much insulin he needs to take after going home, and there needs to
be more progress on lowering his blood pressure. And we don't
know if he'll have to take a cab home or not. Gerald is pleased himself
with how well he is doing so quickly. He told me he wasn't
scared, he had faith in the power and The Lords. This is
probably the last email I will be doing for a long while. Thanks
again for all the positive thoughts!
