itself and the clothes mended.
"Lousy shots!" he said, "That hurt!"
"The ice tip melted," said Thor, "passing through your flesh. Never seen that before. It takes me hours to heal from a wound like that. Yours is completely gone!"
"Well, we've learned something," said Gerard, throwing the arrow away, "they shot at me, not either one of you. That means they consider me the danger!"
"From now on," said Thor, "I take the lead, and keep a close watch on any place someone might be concealed. We'll avoid any area they might mass in. They may come tonight. That's when frost demons prefer to attack...when it's dark. If we must fight, Gerard, aim for their heads and hearts. It's the only thing that will stop them. Like in your own Spirit World we cannot die, but they can sure make life miserable. I was six months recovering from one battle with frost demons and I won that one! How far can you throw that big spear of yours?"
"What I can see," said Gerard, "I can hit, no matter how near or far. I can cut an ant in half at six feet, or put it through a man a mile away. Once thrown, it can't miss, no matter what the target does, and it stops where it lands. No one can retrieve it but me!"
"Good!" said Thor, "The frost demon king wears a crown of ice crystals. If you see him, put that spear through him. The rest will run. They're useless without their king. The regular soldiers are almost as mindless as dogs."
